The most beautiful things of Cambodia are kids and temples. The horrible civil war and the Khmer Rouge regime clouded the true beauty of Khmer past history. The great and enigmatic temples that today we can admire, now almost completely restored, have been rediscovered only in the early 90s. After years of obliviousness, the jungle reveals us the temples that previously had engulfed, protecting them from carelessness and war barbarism. We can see a legend lasts through the centuries, traces of a lost and mysterious civilizations which filled this valley of temples where vegetation incorporates rocks in order to reach the sky and talk to Deity.

Le cose più belle della Cambogia sono i bambini e i templi. La terribile guerra civile e il regime dei Khmer Rossi hanno offuscato la bellezza del passato khmer per molto tempo e che solo a partire dagli anni ’90 è stato possibile riscoprire. I bellissimi ed enigmatici templi, che oggi possiamo vedere quasi del tutto restaurati, vennero fuori dalla giungla che li aveva nascosti, proteggendoli dall’incuria e dalla barbarie della guerra. Si apre di fronte a noi una leggenda, che fino a qualche decennio fa si pensava non esistesse più, tracce di una civiltà scomparsa e misteriosa che riempì questa valle di templi, in cui la vegetazione ingloba la roccia, per mettersi in contatto con il cielo e parlare con la divinità.
